Right off the bat, they will make a quick trip to Arizona after the opening series against Texas, but they will not be on the West Coast again until right after the All-Star break, when they face the Oakland Athletics and the San Francisco Giants in back-to-back series. Seeing as there no Republican National Convention causing the Tribe to leave town for a few weeks, they have a pretty even schedule as far as long home stretches and long away stretches are concerned. They will then play host to the Detroit Tigers before making their first road trip to face the Minnesota Twins and White Sox again. The Tribe home opener comes against the Chicago White Sox a week later on April 11. One good thing about starting the season on the road in Texas (and then in Arizona) is they will hopefully avoid the horrible Ohio weather that plagued the first couple weeks of 2016.
